When you cancel a UPSRTC ticket, UPSRTC cancellation refund amount depends on one thing — how many hours before departure you cancel. Enter your ticket fare and cancellation window below. The calculator shows your exact refund amount, deduction charge, and when the money arrives in your account.

Because cancellation charges vary significantly by time slot, checking before you cancel helps you make a smarter decision — sometimes waiting a few more hours changes nothing, and sometimes it saves you ₹100 – ₹200.

How the UPSRTC Cancellation Refund Calculator Works

First, enter the total fare you paid. Then select your payment method and booking platform. Finally, choose how far before departure you are cancelling. The result shows your refund amount instantly — along with a step-by-step guide for your specific platform.

Moreover, the tool highlights your refund timeline so you know exactly when money returns to your account. UPI refunds arrive in 2–5 days, while card refunds take up to 7 working days.

UPSRTC Refund Policy — Key Rules to Know

The refund amount depends entirely on how early you cancel. Consequently, cancelling more than 24 hours in advance gives you 90% back — the best possible outcome. Between 12 and 24 hours, 75% is refunded. Between 4 and 12 hours, only 50% comes back. After that point, no refund is issued.

Additionally, convenience fees and service charges paid at booking are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel. Therefore, your actual refund may be slightly lower than the base fare calculation if you paid extra charges.

What Happens If UPSRTC Cancels Your Bus

If UPSRTC cancels a trip due to breakdown, weather, or operational reasons, the refund rules are different. In that case, you receive a 100% full refund with no deduction — even if the cancellation happens minutes before departure. Contact the UPSRTC helpline with your booking ID to initiate the claim.

Furthermore, if your bus departs significantly late and you choose not to travel, you may also be eligible for a full refund. Raise this directly at the bus stand counter or through the helpline.

Third-Party Booking Refunds — RedBus, MakeMyTrip, Paytm

If you booked through RedBus, MakeMyTrip, Paytm, or any other third-party platform, your refund does not come directly from UPSRTC. Instead, it goes back through the platform you booked on. As a result, refund timelines and cancellation charges may differ slightly from the official UPSRTC policy.

Therefore, always cancel through the same platform where you booked. Contact that platform’s support if your refund is delayed beyond 7 working days. For bookings on the official portal, follow our UPSRTC refund status guide to track your money.
