What Is the UPSRTC Student Concession?
UPSRTC offers the UPSRTC Student Concession, providing a concessional bus pass for students travelling daily between their home and school or college.The concession reduces the standard fare significantly, making daily commutes affordable for students across Uttar Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
- Student must be enrolled in a recognised school, college, or university in Uttar Pradesh.
- The route must be between the student’s home address and the institution address.
- Distance must be at least 3 km from the nearest bus stop.
- Valid for students up to postgraduate level.
- One concession pass per student only.

How to Apply — Step by Step
- Visit the nearest UPSRTC bus stand or regional office. The application is currently offline — no online portal exists for student concession.
- Collect the Student Concession Application Form from the counter.
- Fill in your personal details, institution name, route details (origin and destination bus stop), and bus number if known.
- Attach the bonafide certificate, photographs, and address proof.
- Submit to the Pass Section counter at the bus stand.
- Verification takes 2–5 working days.
- Collect your Smart Card or paper concession pass once notified.

Renewal Process

Which Bus Types Honour the Concession?
Student concession is valid on Ordinary and Janrath category buses only. It does not apply to Volvo, Shatabdi, or AC Sleeper services.
